Greetings!
Finally I got my act together and finished painting the weaponry for Grey Knight squad of ten members. I'm quite happy about how they look as grey knights, but have a little twist with metallic shades and force weapons, which are little bit different than usually, but still recognizable. Here are some photos with changing weaponry.
Originally the blog was about mustering a throng of Dwarfs and painting them on to the Warhammer gaming table. Now as time has passed I have finished painting my second army of Ogre Kingdoms. After Ogres I started my first 40k army Grey Knight and after that got a few Adeptus Mechanicus to their side. Now the Grey Knights are gone and replaced by the disgusting Death Guard. Bring out the Nurgle ROT!

Core Squad update
Cheers!
Little progress with bases. Bases are supposed to be quite barren waste, but I tried to add some contrast with runty growth. Maybe I should paint the GW-base with more lighter brown to variate from basic black plastic. Next will be a pile of weaponry, which I enthusiastically am waiting to paint...NOT.

Core squad
Greetings!
The summer is almost over and the utter darkness of Finnish winter is coming. I haven't done much lately, but the core unit of grey knights are slowly being painted. Bases and weapons are still to be painted. Here's a photo of the progress.

Painting pilot
Greetings!
I took myself from the neck and forced to the painting desk. I have made mental work about the color scheme of the Grey Knights and finally succeeded to paint a test figure. I'm pretty pleased how it came up, but there are still few things I have to work little bit more. The eyes should glow brighter, almost white with a little tint of blue. The base will be quite barren, but it needs a contrast. Maybe a plant or something. Here are some photos of the first Grey Knight Barrabus!

I am the hammer. I am the sword in His hand. I am..
Greetings!
My Gray Knight figures are now ready for paint. I sprayed some black and gun metal colors on them as base of the other colors. Some alterations are still to be made, but I have used all my magnets, so before I get more of those, here is my Band of Brothers!

Base coating of magnetized parts
Greetings!
Slowly but surely I have managed to paint the base colors to teh magnetized parts. Black undercoat and Gun metal coat from upper angle. Soon I'll do the same to rest of the GK figures. Here's a photo of my painting rack.

Squad Transporter
Greetings!
My final Grey Knights miniature is almost ready. Little bit of magnetizing and drilling of gun barrel holes before painting. I was tempted to paint the inside of the Land Rider, but came to conclusion that the doors are better glued closed. I'm quite excited to finally get to the painting phase. First black undercoat and then dark grey metallic tone from upper angle. Here's a photo of the Transporter.

The Machine Knight
Greetings!
It has been a while since I updated the blog. Nothing much has happened, but finally I managed to combine the Dreadknight parts together. It was bit tricky to make the weapons changeable, but I'm satisfied how I managed to do it. Here's some photos.

Grand Master
Hola !
Greetings from sunny and warm Barcelona (comparing to Finland)! Among other sites I also had to check out the local miniature dealer. I chose GoblinTrader, which is located near Catalunya plaza. The shop was good and there was some tournament going on. My wife wondered if it is normal for a miniature shop to have some large room with lots of players (mostly men) and the aroma of sweat floating in the room. I thought it is normal :D ..What did I bought? I grabbed a Hitech Miniature figure as to be my Grey Knights Brother-Captain, though I think the size and the looks makes him better suited as Grand Master. I modified it slightly to have changeable weapon and will also magnetize the bolter so I can add more firepower on the side of it. Here he is!

Division Bad Ass
Greetings!
The build up of the Grey Knights continues. I finished assembling the Terminator squad only to notice that the shoulder shields are still missing. Of course there are still lots of parts to be magnetized before the painting process. I also compiled a Brotherhood Champion and a Librarian, which came out nicely. The Librarian is a figure from Hitechminiatures. Here they are :)

New Era
Greetings!
A new era has begun as I start a project of Grey Knights. I bought the Nemesis Vanguard package and some additional astartes to begin with. I chose to magnetize the minis, so I could change the weapon according the army list. I has been fun to build the new figures, but I also made few mistakes while trying to do the figures of the special squads as versitile as possible. Here's where I'm right now!

PS. I'm still trying to do a video of the Clan Bone Biters ;)
