Painting Dwarf Warriors, Update 5

Hello, hello !

Tomorrow we have a fantasy battle session of 8000 points. Order versus Destruction. An alliance between Dwarves and High Elves against a pact between Orcs & Goblings and Dark Elves. Like so many times before, it will be a bloody massacre.

I've been painting my fingers off almost every night for two weeks to get the Dwarven warrior unit in playable state. Yesterday night my impatiense drove me to end the remediel painting and move to the dipping phase. Here are the photos.

Slayers after morning bath

The Slayers look much better after instant shade. I still have troubles with the standard, but managed to get it upright of some sort. Some photos !

Base coloured Slayers

At last I completed the base colouring of the Slayer unit. I have troubles with the banner and tried to pin it down with little success. Tonight they are going to dive deep. Here are photos and more is coming after dip.

Lads having a beer

At weekend in early morning hours I got an idea to make two slayer lads having a chat while drinking mead within the slayer unit. There was little bit of conversion to do with the weapons and the basing, but I think I managed it OK, though it could have been better. Having completed the diorama it struck to me that there was no way I could paint the figures in current positions. So, before I start to paint these slayers, I have to cut the base in half and join it together after the painting is done.
